What is an HIE-CM?

HIE-CM is Healthcare Information Exchange - Consent Manager. It performs the role of managing consents related to user's personal health data and also supports exchange of interoperable health data across ecosystem players. The application allows users to create their ABHA address (PHR Address) and allows to manage their profile and link/unlink their ABHA Address with their ABHA Number.

What is ABHA Address?

ABHA Address is an easy to remember username that enables a user to access their health records digitally and share their records with various healthcare providers. An ABHA address may look like ‘name@abdm’. It is required to sign up on ABHA Application

What is a PHR Application?

A Personal Health Record (PHR) application enables a user to provide consent for sharing and linking their personal health records with various healthcare providers. ABDM is partnering with multiple software providers to develop ABDM compliant PHR Applications such as Arogya Setu, and Driefcase. What is ABHA Mobile Application?

ABDM (Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission) has rolled out its own PHR application called ABHA Healthrecords Application through which patients can maintain and manage their health records.

Managing Consent on ABHA Application

Health records are personal for an individual and access to each record requires explicit and informed consent of the individual. PHR Applications such as ABHA Health Records Application empowers a user to take complete control of what data is collected, and how/with whom it is shared and for what purpose, and how it is processed.
